Inovasi E-Book PHBS Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Menggosok Gigi Kesehatan Anak Tunarungu

Hearing and communication limitations in deaf children hinder access to dental and oral health information, which can impact oral hygiene behavior. This condition is one factor contributing to lower levels of dental and oral hygiene in deaf children compared to the general population. This research aims to develop PHBS educational media in the form of an e-book that is easily accessible and appropriate to the needs of deaf children, as an effort to overcome limitations in obtaining dental and oral health information and support the improvement of digital literacy and oral hygiene maintenance behavior. After implementation and monitoring, the results showed an increase in knowledge from 8% (2 people) to 45% (11 people) with good criteria. For skills, the data showed that 88% carried out the correct tooth brushing technique and 12% of children had not carried out the correct tooth brushing technique. PHBS education improves the knowledge and skills of deaf children in maintaining dental and oral hygiene, with 45% achieving good knowledge and 88% being able to brush their teeth correctly.
