Peningkatan Kapasitas UMKM melalui Pendampingan Pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha dalam Program KKN Berdampak

Abstract

The Impactful Community Service Program (KKN Berdampak) Batch IV of Institut Turatea Indonesia (INTI) in 2026 carries the theme of UMKM empowerment for strengthening the local economy in Empoang Village, Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of UMKM actors through assistance in obtaining the Business Identification Number (NIB) and providing education on the importance of business legality for business development. The implementation method employs a participatory approach consisting of preparation and problem identification stages, socialization and education, technical assistance in NIB registration through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results show that the assistance program successfully increased the awareness and understanding of UMKM actors regarding the importance of business legality. Most business actors who previously did not have an NIB have now successfully registered their businesses through the assistance of the KKN team. In addition, UMKM actors also received support in product packaging and logo creation as business identity. This activity proves that the role of KKN students as agents of change can provide real contributions to strengthening the local economy through the formalization and capacity development of UMKM. This program is recommended to be continued with a broader scope of assistance, including aspects of digital marketing and institutional strengthening.
